Timothy "Timmy" Brisby is the third of Mrs. Brisby's four children. He has fallen severely ill with pneumonia and his mother is ordered by Mr. Ages to keep him in bed for three weeks. This proves a dilemma for his mother, as the family urgently needs to move but yet moving would mean Timmy's death.
