Steele is a vain and conceited Siberian Husky, who is nevertheless admired by dogs and humans alike for his physical strength and for being the fastest sled dog of Nome. He takes pleasure in ridiculing Balto, which is motivated by his disdain for wolves as well as Balto's feelings for Jenna.
