"Alien" belongs to the pantheon of SF movies which have ever been made.

Film evokes elementary fear which combines the elements of horror and SF. Director, Ridley Scott, added on an incredible vision and realism to the film. Claustrophobic interiors of Nostromo spacecraft, cold of space, sense of mystery and hostility surrounding the unexplored planet – all that is presented in a full swing and with great sense of realism.

"Alien" is a fantastic motion picture which shows a very likely version of the future. Its makers pointed out new horizons in the field of SF, which is why the movie is among the best ever filmed. Feast of acting skills, terrific script and a unique intelligent arrangement of the whole make me mark the movie 10 for 10.

"The Green Mileis" another adaptation of one of Stephen King’s books.

This time the author takes us to the thirties of last century, to block E in one of American prisons where the convicts await the electric chair execution. Film’s atmosphere is quite heavy, coloured rather in dark hues. The burden of life imprisonment and its scent, which permeates entire space, is omnipresent. "Green Mile" touches upon a few important issues; a right to dignity while awaiting the execution, a right to honourable death which is a payment for inglorious deeds.

The film also draws our attention to the fact that it’s easy to accuse somebody of a crime they didn’t commit just because they found themselves in the wrong place in the wrong time.

"Pulp Fiction" belongs to the classical cinema. Quentin Tarantino made it against all existing conventions and patterns. It’s a fascinating blend of gangster movie and black comedy with elements of romance. In addition to it, the cast including John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel, Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis matched well, creating an unforgettable combination. Movie’s style is characteristic of Tarantino. Director divided his piece of art into distinct episodes linked to each other with particular theme.

Another merit of "Pulp Fiction" its soundtrack with terrific pieces such as “Girl, you’ll be a woman soon” or “Flowers on the wall”. In my opinion "Pulp Fiction" one of the best movies, not only in terms of Tarantino’s portfolio, but the whole cinematography. Film that doesn’t need any sequels or clarifications. It keeps the spectator in suspension until the very end. Feast of acting skills, terrific script, thrilling soundtrack, and a unique intelligent arrangement of the whole make me mark the movie 10 for 10.

"Requiem for a Dream" is one of few films which keep a strong influence on spectator’s psyche for a long time. Appalling picture and authentic situation with which we are familiar will last in our minds for long. It’s because drugs don’t make us happy. They only point out our position in society and adapt us to the others, since… we want to be just like others.

Who’s not acquainted with the theme of drugs, violence, rape and even pharmacomania these days? We aren’t even aware of with whom and were we are, striving to persuade ourselves that we live in a perfect world, deprived of any drawbacks. This is exactly how the friends from Brooklyn try to trick themselves. The film present growing panic accompanying dramatic fight for survival.

"Lion King" was the beginning of my adventure with motion picture. Its influence on my life was irreversible. I don’t regret it because I learned that the cinema is a magical place.

Simba was a young lion, son of King Mustapha, and the heir to the throne. His cunning and greedy uncle, Scar, decided to kill Mustapha in order to take over the throne. Simba manages to escape. On his way he meets two faithful companions; a meerkatTimon, and a warthog Pumbaa. They instantly become friends. The time passes by and the past is revived.

"Lion King" is without any doubt one of the best animated pictures in the history of cinema. It’s not a mere fairy tale, it’s a filmed poetry for the youngest. Poetry which is comprehensible and clear, containing the whole truth about life at the same time.
