The Valley of Decision(1945)
Abstract
Mary Rafferty comes from a poor family of steel mill workers in the 19th Century in Pittsburgh. Her father objects when she goes to work as a maid for the wealthy Scott family which controls the factories. Indeed he was seriousely injured at work and is now in a wheelchair.
