Cinema was his only escape and this escape is reflected most closely at this time of his life as an eight-year-old living on the breadline with his half-brother and sick grandmother in a poor mining village.

The dialogues? Hardly any.
The action? Mostly surviving.
The setting? Scotland
The result? Beyond words.

Either you feel it like a punch in your stomach or you don't and you look away, bored. Period.
