A great Western- if you can call it that. It is a western but does not have the feel of your typical John Wayne or Clint Eastwood western. People that don't like westerns will still really enjoy this film.

Russell does a great job. With a knockout character performance by Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday that should have won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar.

Lets not forget Sam Elliot and Bill Paxton who both hold their own.

This is a movie that you will enjoy the first time and every time you watch it after.

When I think of 80's movies I think of Top Gun. It stars Tom Cruise when he was at his best. It has a soundtrack that can not be beat. I have had my car broken into 3 times and the only thing taken was the Top Gun Soundtrack CD (I guess that is more of a commentary on my CD collection).

The visual aspect of this film may not be so impressive now, but in 1986 it was in the top of it's class.

and then there is the love story. I have never watched this film with a girl and not had our relationship go up a notch. So be warned, don't watch this with someone you don't really have feelings for.

Its 3AM, and you can't sleep. This is the best time to watch Road house. With Patrick Swayze and Sam Elliot fighting all kinds of rednecks, throw in a few good lines and a monster truck. Things move at a good pace so that you don't get bored and the fights will leave you pretty happy. The plot is not all to important and the film knows that. In fact it never wants you to even think about it. When ever it thinks you might be thinking about it, a fight breaks out or a great line like "Be nice until it's time to not be nice" comes out so you can focus on how funny it is and not on what is going on.

Road House is a good example of how a great B-movie should be made.

Wes Anderson takes a Rolad Dahl film and makes it his own. There is no getting around it this is an Anderson film except animated. If you don't like Anderson's style then this may not be for you. If you do, then should enjoy this film.
The plot has George Clooney's as Mr. Fox settling down with Meyrl Streep. He's a columnist for a newspaper and is feeling middle aged. He moves his family into a new house and despite promising his wife never to steal chickens again, he begins to go back to his old ways which precipitates a war with the three biggest farmers in the country.

An amusing film filled with angst and humor and Anderson's skewed view of life. The voice acting really helps the film as Clooney's voice helps make Mr. Fox more likeable and every one else brings their own degree of amusement to the film.
