Batman Forever (1995)

Frozen Batman — Written by deleted user on 06.08.2010

Gotham City is in trouble again. This time the city is terrorized by a cruel psychopathic Two-Face who seems to be obsessed with his desire to destroy Batman. Even worse, the game is joined by a new player - The Riddler who tries to take control over human minds and to reveal Batman's secret.

The third part of Batman was not produced by Tim Burton. He was replaced by Joel Schumacher who had been earlier responsible for "St Elmo's Fire" and "Flatliners". The film was created with the help of completely new staff, for instance, Danny Elfman, who had composed music for previous two parts of Batman was replaced by Elliot Goldenthal.

There were some changes in cast as well. Michael Gough plays in a splendid way Alfred Pennyworth. Val Kilmer plays the role of Batman and Bruce Wayne which seems to be a bit unfortunate choice as the actor is a bit too delicate to play the Night Knight. Chris O'Donell played the roles of Robin and Dick Grayson. To be honest he played quite well the role of a rebellious and fresh Batman's assistant. Nicole Kidman played attractive Dr Chase Meridian, Batman's new love. The best roles however belong to Tommy Lee Jones as brutal Two-Face and Jim Carrey as a brilliant and totally crazy The Riddler.

What can I say? The third part of Batman is good and we avoid yawning while watching it but still it is not the same Burt Batman. Darkness and depression disappeared . Is it good? I do not think so but I will leave it to the audience to decide.
