While I was browsing the DVD shop I noticed the Warp label on the cover of this film. Since I am a fan of the music that is brought out on the Warp label I decided to give this movie a chance.
After watching it, I was overwhelmed. Director Shane Meadows (who, I had discovered, also directed This is England) did a stunning job. There's a constant tension that's almost toutchable. And there's a climax full of (christian) symbolism, that makes you feel pretty upset and makes you think at the same time. When a movie does such things to me I must Rate it 10 out of 10. The acting is also brilliant.
One of the best movies ever!
