Lord Rogers is the close confidant – perhaps even a father figure – of Prince Derek. He is also good friends with Queen Uberta and is the conductor of the royal brass band. He has disdain for Derek's best friend Bromley, whom he deems a coward, and takes pleasure in taunting Bromley for this.
