Set in the wake of the 1916 Easter Rising, a married woman in a small Irish village has an affair with a troubled British officer. (The trailer says: like Doctor Zhivago it is a film of love. Well, both films were made by David Lean, the same happening to Bridges of River Kwai, Lawrence of Arabia and others under this competent direction and that's all. In my opinion, Ryan's Daughter is incredibly superior).
The music is one more invitation to know this great movie.
