Abstract
1721, the Regent of France, offers to Spain, a marriage between their respective heirs: Louis XV,11, and Maria A. Victoria, 4-year old . He also offers to marry his daughter, 12, to the Prince of Asturias, 14, heir to the Spanish throne. Madrid agrees and the ceremonies are organized. Nothing will proceed as planned.
