Abstract
Two men work as caretakers high in the Italian Alps. When one leaves for the valley on vacation, he is temporarily replaced by an adolescent boy. The other man is both annoyed and intrigued by the boy. They barely speak to one another in the first days after an avalanche things begin to change.
