Peter von Kleist is travelling to Austria to see the Auction of an old castle of one of his ancients, Otto von Kleist, who has been called the Blood Baron, cause he tortured and killed a lot of people.
With the young student Eva Arnold, Peter tried to get the Baron back to live with using an occult spell.

Mario Bava is creating a wonderful movie in a breathtaking ambience, the old Museum Castle Korneuberg. This castle is crammed with antiques and is prepered affectionate with spiderwebbs and stuff like that.
The takes in the castle are typical for Bava, razor sharp defind colours and long shot on the eye area. The takes outside in the fog, are wonderful corned (In a great scene, where the Baron follows Eva).
Lots of Screams, and, a few, but caring detailled, homicides.

After all, it is a really nice movie to see, so don't miss it!
