Abstract
Helen spends her days indulging in casual encounters with random strangers, vegetables and public toilet seats. One day, the bleeding starts and Helen is hospitalised for an anal fissure. There, she befriends male nurse Robin, who becomes her sexual confidante, helps her get by with her parents' troubles and patiently monitors her bowels movements.
