Abstract
In Paris, Cochise, a writer, leaves everything after a quarrel with his wife and his publisher. He goes down south in a port in Provence, and meets his 3 childhood friends: Frisé, a painter, Tirelire, a waitress (who he was in love with) and Quatre-Œil, a columnist in the local paper. A series of murder soon hits the headlines.
