The film unfolds over the course of six days, with flashbacks. Shiina moves into a new apartment. While singing "Blowin' in the Wind" he is greeted by his new neighbor, Kawasaki. Being tall with an air of confidence, Kawasaki is the polar opposite of the short and nervous Shiina. Dylan's singing, Kawasaki proclaims, is like "the voice of God.
