Lubitsch adds some outdoor scenes, notably a scene at the horse races, where Mrs. Erlynne tries to make her comeback into society. Lubitsch places the viewer at the centre of the action with the use of objective and subjective shots, notably point-of-view shots showing how Mrs. Erlynne is observed through binoculars.
