Akira Kurosawa shows us a Sunday of a couple in love, with only one problem. They are poor and fate seems to be always against them. Masako has difficulties to mantain her optimism and Yuzo has to struggle with his despair in order to keep his fiancée happy so they can spend together a wonderful sunday.
