The movie tells the story of the famous book by Eça de Queiroz but with one difference.
The scenario is São Paulo, with some extra scenes in Brasilia (Brazil).
The story is of the bad character who seduces his married cousin while her husband is away (and the following blackmailing of the maid of the house who took notice of the adultery).
The most amazing thing is the reconstruction of the two cities (with buildings, cars and streets, as they were on the 50s and beginning of 60s).
