When 9 first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world. All humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction.

A rag doll fights a monster that has been stealing the souls of his people. This film was Shane Acker's thesis project at UCLA film school.
The Hangnail
A boy, waiting for a bus. A dog, begging for potato chips. The boy sends the dog away, violently. He sees a hangnail on his finger and shows us, graphically, why you should never pick at them.
