Heidi und Peter

Heidi und Peter

Franz Schnyder 1955 1h 35m

Heidi lives with her grandfather in the Swiss Alps in the summer, and she and Peter play and tend the goats. In the winter, she stays with Peter's mother, and she and Peter attend school. One day a letter arrives from Heidi's friend Klara Sesemann, an ill youngster who spends most of her time in wheelchair, stating that she is coming to visit.

Uli der Knecht

Uli der Knecht

Franz Schnyder 1954 1h 55m

The film traces Uli's progress from his humble peasant surroundings to the homes of the wealthy and prominent. The characterizations are convincing, and the comic interludes surprisingly subtle and believable for a Swiss film. The no-star cast doomed Uli Der Knecht from the start so far as American distribution was concerned.
