Coffin Joe, the unholy undertaker, is back in town to continue his quest for the perfect woman, embarking on an even more brutal campaign of terror, aided and abetted by his hunchbacked assistant.

Filmmaker José Mojica Marins travels to spend Christmas with friends in a small farm, where they spend leisure time while Mojica writes the story for his next film. However, he observes eerie things in the house, with his friends being possessed one by one by some supernatural evil force.

Coffin Joe opens a hostel which will be run by himself and five other carefully chosen people. The hostel soon fills up with dozens of guests including partying hippies and gambling gangsters, who soon begin to suspect that this hostel is far from normal....

A psychiatric doctor driven to insanity by nightmare visions of Zé do Caixão trying to steal his wife is helped by colleagues who enlist creator José Mojica Marins to convince the patient that he does not exist.

Released from the Mental Health Wing of São Paulo State Penitentiary after forty years, the sadistic undertaker Zé do Caixão is back on the streets, haunted by ghostly visions and spirits of past victims but still set upon the goal that sent him to prison in the first place: finding a woman who can give him the perfect child.
