A young female martial-arts champion, Cheng Tai-nun marries an old landowner so he can keep his estate from the hands of his brother. Tai-nun inherits when he dies, and goes in Canton with her nephew and his son Yu Tao. When the conservative Tai-nun, a woman from the provinces, runs into the modern Yu Tao for the1st time,a clash of egos begins.
