A beautiful philosophical fable about love and art. of lonely characters that reflect a heavy atmosphere of Iranian culture (Weddings, choice, destiny). A beautiful film in the pursuit of Persepolis. And deeper in another register. You leave the autobiography to dive into the many characters who are authentics, sensitives, full of love but almost unable to feel it and see what's around. This film just upsets me. For those who loved "Amélie from montmartre" (Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain" Jean-Pierre Jeunet 2001), we are in the same vein with wonderful plans by Marjane Satrapi, we find the magic of his comics.
A movie to watch. The cast is impressive, a Edouart Baer in the role of the angel of death and Jamel Debouze more affecting than ever ... To discover if you have not already done!

A funny movie, dramatic and musical ... This is the story of Nina Paley, the filmmaker who draws a paralell between her life and the life of the Indian goddess Sita. Why? Simply because Nina Paley destroyed by a sentimental break makes the link between the history of Shah Sita, woman abused by Sanyal Rama, two figures of the Indian mythological story with her own.
She mixes different style of animation, illustration and drawings. A tale of melodies rythmed by the jazz singer Annette Hanshaw (1930).
The Ramayana is evoked all along the film. Between Indian legends and contemporary life, Nina Paley presents here a masterpiece of animation. This film is fully licensed Creative common.

What to say about this film? Rather than being only a comedy, "Les démons de Jésus" adopts a style more social drama, a kind of Ken Loach French version. I didn't laugh as much for a film like this for a long time. For a French film. The actors are simply amazing with a lot of affection. I expanded my vocabulary of insults, a surprising linguistic pleasure! But beyond appearance good laugh they are a real sociological and cultural questions being plotted in this touching story. The clash of cultures, mixing of social classes, the hope, the desire to leave a cultural pattern... This is a film that stands out as the quota of French music is far from being respected, there is a soundtrack almost English.

Belgian cinema makes me laugh. Firstly the accent that reminded me "Dikkeneck". Secondly because it is something touching, unexplored. A need to represent reality pronounced. Here, we are a desire to make the cinema as a medium able to translate to the screen a life which we are ashamed. Poetic, the film will be the story of this young boy, catches up by destiny, remembers her childhood designing the first problems of his life.
The sequences tinted in black and white plunged me into a flashback, a nostalgia for freedom, childhood and unconsciousness. A neutral point of view, so generally, from the director, which can take advantage of this fable without wondering if the weight of the structure familliale catch us one day too.
