Yeah I saw Arnals is icelandic. I went there last year, and more than a beautiful and scenic land, it's also a very active cultural place, especially in music. I bought some local CDs, pretty good!
And your report of the concert gives me a strong will to go to such one! I remember the skatalites to have such an atmosphere...
PS: Süskind is quite famous in France, honestly I discovered he's german (or maybe austrian?) by reading Le Parfum...
These days I'm in an american novel by John Irving, in english of course! He's very good too, his writing is sharp but full of humor. Do you know?
Wow, you've been to Iceland? Now I'm really jealous!
I've always wanted to go there right because of its energetic and busy music scene. And of course because of the landscape... :) - I'm a real outdoor fan!
So what did you buy?
You haven't answered my question about why you don't go to concerts any more some shouts ago... you want to give a hint?
Süskind (yeah, you managed the umlaut!) was born about 20 kilometers away where I am living, near Munich. So he's German :) Of course I was talking about Das Parfüm. I read another book by him and was rather disappointed... maybe I just expected something similar to his successful work.
Irving is known to me, of course! I read The world according to Garp and was really fascinated by his strange and sarcastic humor... but it's not an everyday reading for me, quite longbreathed. But I only know this book, so what do you read? Maybe I should try another one?!
