1 in january, 1 in february, 2 in march, 0 in april, 1 in may, 0 so far in june.
That's only 5 black and white SotDs since the beginning of the year !
It has never happened !
Again, 5 black and white SotDs out of 175 awarded ! That's 2,85% !

I am sorry to start rallying and ringing the bell for black and white again.
It has nothing to do with nostalgia. It has to do with curiosity and diversity.

I know by experience that these shots are downvoted much more than the others, out of sheer prejudice and stupidity.
Let's resist then !!
Half of the movies ever produced are in black and white. Should we ignore them ?

If this game was called WhattheMusic, would we accept a ban on every tune before 1970 ?
I use the word ban because actually it has become one. When you know that your shot stands less chances to be accepted you naturally tend to upload a color shot. Perfectly understandable but dammageable for the game itself.

In 10 years the risk is to have more than 70% shots from horror and scifi movies, which I like, but what about difference, diversity ?

To follow the parallel with WhattheMusic, would we accept to have 70% of rap, for instance, and 2,85% of rock or reggae or jazz ?

Watch black'n white movie ! From Buster Keaton to Sin City, from John Ford to Woody Allen, from Kurosawa to Jacques Audiard, from Satyajit Ray to David Fincher the choice is huge ! So is the quality.
