Hello everyone,
It’s been a long time… and a lot has happened since the last big steps of WhattheMovie.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been working on WhattheMovie v3. Thanks to modern tools — especially generative AI — what would have taken years in the past can now be done in weeks, alone.
A huge part of the old technical debt is gone, a brand-new frontend is in progress, and the foundations are finally clean again.
The plan is simple:
- Finish the core rewrite
- Stabilize the platform
- Then bring new life to WhattheMovie
And this is where you come in.
Over the years, many ideas, suggestions, and debates have happened around WhattheMovie – discussions on the forum, messages on profiles etc. Some were great, some were ambitious, and some were impossible at the time. Now feels like the right moment to ask again:
What would you like WhattheMovie to be today?
- New features?
- Gameplay improvements?
- Social or community ideas?
- Ways to attract new (and younger?) players?
- Things you miss from the old days?
- Things you don’t want to see again?
