Les nouvelles aventures d'Aladin (2015)

A nice surprise — Written by NekoSama on 18.06.2016

Even if the name of Kev Adams can stand for cheap comedy and bad humour, Les nouvelles aventures d'Aladin is truly a nice comedy to watch!

Finding its inspiration in the puns and the absurd situations that made Canal + famous in the nineties, you'll be delighted to recognize old faces like Jean-Paul Roove or Michel Blanc.

The movie tries to modernize the myth of Aladin: the story is told by a nowadays Kev Adams who works at the mall as Santa for Christmas. This is the occasion for many anachronisms on which the movie might rely too much.

The narration might be the main asset of this movie: as we saw the story being told, we see how it is made, why it is sometimes unbelievable, what controls the outcome of some of the dramatic events of the movie.

I would advise you this movie if you want to see how a single popular movie can be entertaining for every one: child, parents and cinephile.
